They want me to be their Guru....It's scary!
On APSense which is growing very fast I started a new group "APSense 4 Newbies" targeting mainly the new members that have not English as their native language. The group gives how-to-on-apsense info and some general tips. I am also active with blogs and commenting on other peoples articles.
This newbie group is becoming very popular. I receive many thank you notes from members what makes it very rewarding. Today A nice surprise was that I am elected as business expert of this week. (november 21st 2010)
Even before this I started receiving e-mails from members saying they want me to be their Guru. This is good for my ego of course but also a little scary. I do not want to be somebody's guru because I do not want to take responsibility to make others successful. Because I can't. The rest is up to them; all I can do is give them good information and tools to make their own journey in cybersalespace successful.

Nov 22nd 2010 at 7:53 PM by bjfoot Hi! Paula... What an honor! I'm sure you'll continue to help, but tell them you're not a Guru... Just someone who has the knowledge to help and you are there, if needed. Then maybe you won't be so uncomfortable. You're absolutely right, their success after your help begins and ends with them. It has to be their choice as to what they do with the information/teaching you've given them.
Great Article!
Best Regards... Brenda
