A Picture Is Worth 1000 Rejections
It was only a couple of years ago that my mentor told me "Rex, you will only attract at the level you project." Man, was he right. When I made the decision to start improving my image online, the results improved right along with it... and in dramatic fashion.
It never ceases to amaze me how so many people, using the social media, somehow believe that they can use any old picture of themselves, distorted or otherwise, and expect to see traffic through their profile. Most people have a hard enough time trying to make a few bucks as an Internet marketer. There's no sense in making things more difficult on yourself.
If you are going to do this right then dress for success! Get a quality picture taken and show people that you care. It's going to be very difficult to convince people that you know what you are doing if you don't appear to.
Your image online is like the sign that sits in front of your store. If you don't care enough to do your very best, it is reflected in the outward appearance. Think about it... if you were driving down the road and saw a cardboard sign nailed to a telephone pole, advertising a medical clinic, would you go there? Would you take your children there? Of course not? Why? Do I really need to explain it?
When creating video, uploading your profile picture, creating ad copy, writing a blog post or article, then you need to make sure that it's your absolute best effort. When it comes to creating content online, spelling, grammar and punctuation count.
Smile, look into the camera and let a positive image tell your story. Don't use images or anything else that will cause people to question your level of experience or expertise.
Take pride in the way you look and conduct yourself... it will pay huge dividends!
Cheers!
Rex
