BOOK OF SOULS synopsis
BOOK OF SOULS
Book 2, The Parables of Light series

Set against the backdrop of Mardi Gras in New Orleans, the police face a series of exotic murders that rock the Voodoo community of the city, all centered around the legend of Marie Leveau’s Book of Souls. And the only witnesses to the murders claim an evil spirit killed them – a spirit described as a eldritch character straight out of a scary old, childhood fairytale from the swamp. A thing so dangerous, even the Loup Garou – the werewolves of the bayou – cower in fear before it.

As the body count rises, The detective assigned to the case discovers a woman he had once loved has returned with a son – their son, and the dire vision of a shadowy figure that could destroy them all. Because these victims are casualties in a war between the Houses of Light and Darkness that walks the streets of the French Quarter and stalks the bayou that surrounds the Crescent City. A war that is just beginning to heat up, and might cost the very soul of their son and the Book of Souls he is about to inherit.
