Going Mobile!

I know it's not a brand new concept, but it's still new enough to where it could still be a wide open field. What am I talking about? Building websites to cater to the ever growing mobile market. You stop and think, how many people world wide now have access to cell phones, even if they don't own a computer? I read from more than one source too that more people in the U.S. are shying away from the reliable desk and laptops, and going with smaller devices to do their surfing on. I'm sure computers will still be around a long time...but now, so will the mobile devices.
Plus look at the age groups...our younger gernerations are already mobile savvy...and that is a potentialy huge market to tap into. Even the next age group..colledge age and up through oh, say about mid 30's or so...a huge number!
We also have an advantage now because there are already ways to build a mobile friendly site fairly easy...you can do it yourself. I just learned of plugins you can use with WordPress to make the whole process a lot easier. All you need is a domain and hosting, preferbly with PHP5 but most good hosting services, like HostGator, are up to date with that.
I already have a blog up, for testing purposes. My problem is nothing to test it on myself..but again I do know some folks I'm sure would check it for me. I'll be borrowing my nephews IPod here in a bit...it's wireless too!
You have to love this age we live in! Between websites online, social sites, and now mobile devices, seems like someone besides the so called gurus can make a buck ot two! Plus as the technology expands, there will be better, and newer markets to explore.The potential is without limit! Just look at what happened when the IPhone first came out...the apps industry was created just to cater to them, and now to the other phones and devices with smart technology. Competition can be a good thing!
