It Takes Time...

Aug 10th 2010 at 7:08 AM

In the hustle and bustle of the Technology age, it's
really easy to fall into the "Instant" epidemic that kills
so many online businesses.

I've been there before.

We are all in so much of a hurry to make money, we
don't take the time to become successful.  But that is
exactly what we need to do.  Whether it's taking time
to find the right tools, or set up your emails for success.
You need to take the time, and do it right.

It's like in the movie "Field Of Dreams"... If you build
it, they will come.  And who are they?  The buyers.  With
the right set up, you will get buyers.  So start setting
yourself up for success.

One of the best places to start is with your "Email
Management".  Every day, the average marketer gets
as many as 500 emails.  These come from marketing
sources, payment processors, and other marketers.

Doesn't it make sense to sort it in a manner that will
make it easy to keep up with.

I originally used Filters and Labels to do this.  But I'd
still be overwhelmed with 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000+
emails waiting to be read.  And to be honest, most of
it was junk that I needed to sift through to find
treasure.

How did I fix this...

I got 7 Gmail Accounts.  I have one that is strictly for
the Traffic Exchanges I sign up for.  I have two for
safelists and ad exchanges I use. One for paypal, and
alertpay.  One for online tools that I use.  One for
personal use, and one for signing up to other
marketer's lists.

Doing it this way, I am able to get to what I want,
when I make time to want it.  It takes time to fine
tune everything.  But just taking little steps, you will
reach your ultimate goal.

Hi Rasheda: Great to see you here at IM Faceplate! Hope you're doing well. I've started doing the different Gmail accounts/filters as well...now I just have to remember to check them regularly! :D

I use a slightly different system but am refining it as I go. I also have recently decided to use filters at the domain end so I only receive the emails I want to. Thanks Rasheda
