No need for expensive equipment, lenghty courses on lighthing, colors, photography. There's an alternative: screencast videos. All you need is software and a microphone connected to your PC. The software can be installed on your PC for free, like Jing, Cam Studio, or you can pay for the Cadillac of screencast tools, Camtasia.

Video marketing using online tools

Another option is to use online tools. I don't know how many there are. Myself, I have used screenr.com for more than a year. It's free, very easy to use, the image is HD, and you can dowload the resulting video as an mp4 file on your PC, ready to see on your iPhone or iPad. Or, with one click, you publish it on YouTube, where everyone goes for traffic.

If you think you need to create videos that last longer than five minutes, think of much you enjoy seeing short videos yourself, unless the video is exceptionally good. We are used to seeing videos that take less than five minutes. Think of the music industry. Also, if you need more time, you can do the video in two parts, especially if it is for teaching a feature of a website. People can look at all parts then choose which part they need to review more.
