Motivating words

Sep 6th 2010 at 9:08 PM

Hi everyone,

I have read many success and personal development books in the last 25 years. In this article, I will share ideas I got from these books.

Robert H. Schuller : If it's going to be, it's up to me: The Eight Proven Principles of Possibility Thinking

The 8 chapter names read like a recipe for success. I have remembered them by heart since the day I bought it, in 1998

1. Possibilities must be weighed

2. Priorities must be swayed

3. Plans must be laid

4. Commitments must be made

5. The price must be paid

6. The timing may be delayed

7. The course must be stayed

8. The trumpets will be played

Shad Helmstetter : What to Say When You Talk To Your Self

In this case, it's the book's title that is very catchy, IMO

Phillip McGraw, Dr. Phil, the well-known one, not me :) : Life Strategies, front and back of the hardcover book

Front : Doing what works, doing what matters

Back :

Life Law # 5 => Life rewards action. Make careful decisions then pull the trigger

Life Law # 8, 2nd part => Own, rather than complain, about how people treat you

David Schwartz : The Magic of Thinking Big

In this case, the whole book is a gem

That article practically wrote itself, those quotes were in my mind for years, I realized it was a good idea to write them down here. :)

Great group of motvational books! You can always go back and view them to refresh in your mind their content. I can't remember all things all the time, but I am constantly moving forward-if I stay focussed on my goals. Brovo for the great book title reminders! stevesam stevesam
