Funny moment of the day - Aug. 29, 2010

Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010 : I had just finished creating my new article "Nice surprise of the day", in 2 seconds, I would have clicked "add". My cat jumped on the keyboard, the page was lost, I had to rewrite all over again. Ok, it's more like a post than an article, but it was based on something that just had happened, and I wanted to capture the moment in writing, and it's 1h30 AM. Oh, well, it gave me an opportunity to update this article you are currently reading. :)

Aug 25, 2010 : I just posted a response to a fellow IMFPer. I posted it... on my own faceplate !!! This has happened 3 or 4 times, maybe a little more, in the past week. Thank God we can delete these posts. I would really look ridiculous. :)

Aug 24, 2010 : My kitten is trying to catch the mouse on the screen... again. :) Every night, when everybody's asleep except me, I continue building my business for a few hours. The cat is always there around me. We've had that cat for close to 3 weeks, it's now 3 months old, and, like all cats, he gets crazy around 10h00 PM every night, he tries to bite my hand while I type, he walks on the keyboard while I write important info for my readers :) he sleeps on the mouse cord, he is a lot of fun. Aug 22, 2010 : This afternoon, a fellow IMFP user sent me a link to a conference call. I'm not used to that kind of link, I didn't realize that the number at the end of the post was actually part of the link. I clicked the link, got to the conference call site, was all alone there, i waited a few minutes, tried to connect again, again all alone, realized I had been sent the link 2 hours before for a 1-hour call :( closed the conference call window. Tonight, when I got back home after going to the mass, I jumped on the computer for the ongoing process of online business tasks. After a few minutes, I heard a voice out of nowhere, with an Asian accent, looked at my tabs, had not happened anything different in the past half hour, then realized it sounded like someone wondering if there was someone or if he was alone, then looked closely at my tabs, there was a conference call window tab ( the 2nd one ) still opened, it showed I was still connected and there was indeed someone else, but he disconnected after a few seconds. That voice really had taken me by surprise. :)

Aug 21, 2010 : I received an email with a link to a page with a special report to download. The link didn't work. I told the guy. He fixed the link. I clicked it again. This time, I got to the page. I put in my email address, my name, I clicked "SUBMIT". Nothing changed on the page, as if nothing had happened. I checked my gmail page, then my gmail SPAM page, nothing. I clicked again on the "SUBMIT" button, still nothing. I talked to the guy again, telling him about the problem. He looked, sounded embarassed, laughed, then fixed it. This time,  it worked. :) The guy was very supportive, so it ended up being funny instead of frustrating.. A broken link happens fairly often, but a broken link followed by a non-functioning button on a page, it's the first time it happens to me. :)

Aug 20, 2010 : I thought the "shout" button had disappeared. After opening a ticket to the helpdesk, they told me I have to clear the last shout from my faceplate in order to be able to another one. :(
