Viking Warriors Online

I've had two blogs related to Internet Marketing for quite awhile.  One is primarily focused on using social media for building your online business and the other is about list building and using free traffic sites.  Both are hosted on sub-domains and I was recently told the server they are hosted on was being shut down.  What?

I should have seen that coming, but I was too busy with other things to try moving 1400 + blog posts to a new home.  Anyway, I decided to create a new blog on its own domain and count the loss of all that content as yet another learning experience.  Hang on, that isn't entirely true.  I decided to create TWO new blogs.  One for business and one entirely different than anything I have ever created before.

For those of you who don't know me well, I write A LOT, but I read probably ten times as much as I write.  I find so many really creative people are able to turn their everyday lives and make them interesting reading.  Since I live in Europe I have a lot of opportunities to share some unique experiences, but I have always had difficulty in writing about myself so I created something that interests me and apparently a couple million other people judging by the monthly search stats.

My reasoning for delving into a competitive market wasn't so much stupidity on my part as it was a challenge to myself.  I wanted to see if I could use my knowledge to rank well for my keywords.  I made page one on Google overnight for some of the less competitive keywords which tells me I have done something right and I'm still working on getting backlinks.

I'm not as far along with my new business blog, but the lessons I learn from getting Viking Warriors Online ranked will be incorporated into my new blog and hopefully I'll still have time to swipe my content off my sub-domain blogs.
