As one of the co-founders of The Perfect Storm Team I have seen different types of people get involved in online marketing. Some have become successful while others are still struggling. From what I have seen the difference between success and failure has a lot to do with their attitude towards learning new skills. In other words, some have made a choice to succeed while others chose to fail.
The truth is that sometimes we have to learn new skills because the skills we had developed before are no longer enough. That has happened to me more than once in my life, but the worst example was roughly halfway through my career in the military following a promotion.
I had been working on UH-1 (Huey) helicopters for ten years when I was promoted and suddenly found myself in charge of quality control for UH-60 (Blackhawk) helicopters. Let me explain something here so you get the full impact of what I am saying. When someone does ANYTHING maintenance wise to a helicopter a technical inspector from the quality control section must look over the work and sign that the work was done correctly.
If the helicopter were to crash and the investigation showed that the reason for the crash was maintenance related I would be the one held ultimately responsible and could go to prison because I approved the work. No pressure, right?
EVERYTHING is done using a maintenance manual, but I wasn't at all familiar with where to find the instructions and as if that weren't bad enough they switched over from paper logbooks to laptop computers and I hardly knew anything about a computer at the time.
Six or seven years later I was the senior technical inspector in all of Europe responsible for inspecting aviation units for compliance with safety and standardization rules including maintenance. How did I do that? While I had days where I felt overwhelmed, I used what few skills I had learned before that still applied and I used that as a foundation for learning some of the things I didn't know.
I didn't really need to know everything, but I needed to know the people who did long enough to do my job while I was learning new things. Sound familiar? Online marketing is very similar and I recently found a new resource that can really help anyone who chooses success.
It is called Quit Your Job Course and the content in the Full Course will give you everything you need to start making money online. The training comes on videos so you can stop the video if you need to take the kids to school or if you don't understand something. Personally, I love video training and often times will do things step-by-step by pausing the video and completing the tasks being discussed.
