How To Recruit Blog Evangelists

This title is the perfect metaphor for my post because I was asked recently by someone I'm helping, what do you get out of this? A great question because when you perform a random act of kindness its only natural that people are waiting for the other shoe to drop, they're waiting for you to bring money up at some point because after all people say that their time is money. While that statement is true, there's another side of that coin.

My answer to the question of what do I get out of helping you is simply this, just stop by my blog when you get a chance and click on my Twitter and Facebook tab to Pay It Foward. Without putting any undue pressure on the people who are struggling like you are I don't think that's an unreasonable request. Simply Pay It Foward.

The people you help without charging a dime can turn into your greatest evangelists in the Social Marketing world, they'll be more than happy to write a testimonial or help you promote your blog or site, WITHIN REASON. Just because you help someone doesn't mean you can put them on a guilt trip and start turning the screws to them. Simply make a request and let it go.
