Social Networking Helping Others |
ONLINE MARKETING & SOCIAL NETWORKING can be intimidating, but shouldn't be!
Especially for those just starting out! The World Wide Web, WOW.
(where to start - where to go - what to do?)
Remembering back when I didn't know what I was doing at all
(not that I do now, lol), You couldn't get me to go on social
networking sites! Sound famaliar?? I thought (at that time)
that I didn't want to be made a fool of, or look stupid.
I'm writing this for those who may be feeling the same
way - STOP IT!!! Want to work from home? DO IT! Below you'll
see places to start, where (in my experience) all those already
there are friendly and more than willing to help!!
One of the best things you can do IS to join a Social Network site,
get to know people and pick their brains. Most of the people I've
met online have been geniune, and there to help and most important -
without criticism of any kind. What I'm trying to tell you is
most of the people are just like you and me!
A New invaluable site I joined is the ATM! The owner Amy Thomas
is one of the best Admin I've known. Then again she is a
workaholic! I am all for helping other people to succeed and she
is giving people Just that Opportunity! ATM is an advertising
venue, a private Social Network, a connection point, and sooooo
much more. ATM is Free to join, and a wonderful place to start
your online journey!!
Another New site I joined (the day they opened) is SWEEVA.
Sweeva is also FREE to join!
Sweeva, it's an advertising site but a lot more than
that. On Sweeva your site (and everyone's site) gets evaluated
all at the same time. What You get is REAL TIME comments
on your site, letting you know what people like, what they'd prefer
to see, whether it's loading correctly, questions regarding your
program (whatever it may be), etc. etc. In case you don't realize
just how important that is - being able to connect the very moment
your site is being seen!!! - well it's EXTREMELY VALUABLE!
ATM is An advertising paradise & a Great Social Networking Site.
Sweeva is a wonderful place to find out if your advertisement
efforts are working! I cross advertise both of these.
One of the MOST IMPORTANT things you can do (if not THE most important)
is to simply Jump in with both feet, no regrets and . . .
GET OUT THERE - plain and simple. Until people start seeing you,
and are able to (by site or pic) know your name . . . you really don't
get very far. GET KNOWN! BRAND YOURSELF!
I'd say the NEXT important thing is to ALWAYS be there for those you
refer!!! NO ONE likes joining something and not being able to reach
the one that brought you in! ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE to help those who
- in essence - are helping you - It's a WIN-WIN scenario!

Aug 9th 2010 at 3:56 PM by ChuckBartok You pointed out some wonderful ideas for those possessing the desire to BE in Business On-line.
The missing link for most people, after talking personally to over a thousand globally is the lack of a Clear Plan of Action, written down, as detailed as possible.
Interviewing some of the most successful On-line and Off-line they all seem to OWN that Habit.
We encourage clients to spend the Time and Energy Planning Before "writing" the checks.
There is a Free, informative PDF I wrote several ago available on one the Blog sites

Aug 7th 2010 at 3:28 AM by fredds Reading this article, I kept thinking that it perfectly described me. Initially I was very slow on the uptake - from 2008 to just this year, April 2010 to be exact - when I slowly and gingerly started taking small steps into the social online networking sites. Now, 4 months later, I am almost addicted to them and keep asking myself why I was hesitant for all that time.

Jul 22nd 2010 at 8:39 PM by GTBulmer Hello, Lauren: Nice friendly article - good info! Like you, I was slow to get involved with Social networks in the beginning, and for similar reasons. Now, you can't keep me away and, to be truthful, I wish I could spend ALL of my time on social sites! But one must create balance. lol. Thanks for this post. :-)

Jul 9th 2010 at 5:52 PM by zeus8894 Fact is you should never find yourself saying, "but I'm not a salesman." because it's a lie. We are all put on this earth with a natural gift for sales. From the 2 year old who was good all day to get momma to buy that new toy, to a first date, first job, or even getting mom and dad to chip in on that first car. We are born selling the world of the worth and merits of a living, breathing human being. If that's not a hard sell then nothing is. Social media is exactly that, selling people on you so they might have interest in your offers.

Jul 9th 2010 at 4:31 PM by MarkB Can not agree more with the last paragraph. I was lucky when my sponser was unresponsive, some other great people stepped in and helped me a tremendous amount, and the great part is they never 'pushed' their programs at me. They just generally wanted to see me succeed. There are truly some fantastic people out there.
