Paybox.me Users Must Read

Dec 2nd 2010 at 2:16 PM

Paybox users just got this email .... and link to story
http://brian-schilling.com/paybox-me-a-program-to-avoid.html

Bottom line here - I have always suspected Paybox to be a fake program, and their Terms of Service are not very user-oriented. However, having learned in an email I received this morning that the Paybox name is a trademark of the Silicon Valley software giant Sybase, that could put anyone associated with Paybox at legal risk. Thus, I have banned Paybox.me from being advertised here in Traffic Champions and removed any user advertising that I found. Please take a moment to make sure you remove all sites, banners and text ads at TC from rotation. While TC waives all liability for its user advertising, I still need to protect the integrity and reputation of Traffic Champions and my own business - and want to do the same for you as well.

I strongly encourage sending email to Paybox requesting termination of your account, to eliminate your exposure to any legal liability. To my knowledge, Sybase has not taken any action, but they could. I HIGHLY recommend you send an email to Paybox (there is no way to terminate your own account) at support@paybox.me and abuse@paybox.me to request termination of your account (make sure to include your Paybox username).

These numbers above do not add up. If I am reading correctly, 192 people read this article and only 4 people commented excluding the writer , finally only 18 liked the the article. Maybe Paybox is too good (to be true) but I have to be honest and say I am keeping account 2012 is around the corner(whichever comes first)

I have "stefanberg" to thank for showing me and others who were willing to listen - just after paybox.me started - that it was a scam. This is just one of the many advantages of being a member of a site like Imfaceplate.

Finally People start waking Up! I wrote about PayBox already in September, just a few days after many people joined. I still get many comment on my Blog every week. The way people are thinking around it's FREE you can't loose anything have nothing to do with marketing. There are Millions of things that is FREE but you can't make any "Legal" Money with it!

I mean if a Company start selling city air from New York (in cans) - Should You start promoting it if they promise you $50 US Dollars to join and $10/day just logging in and they Pay You $20/lead?

The Only Reason You Promote it is... It's FREE You can't loose anything!!! Or Is It The Money They Promise???

Even If they lie to you upfront saying it's US Dollars You Get? When You Log it's says Balance: 1000 air dollar...

I Think The Reason People are Promoting Anything under the sun is Because of the Huge Amount of money They promise people. Works every time...

Wow it's FREE I might loose this great opportunity If I'm Not Joining and since I'm a member and it's FREE why not start promoting it as well... Even If I know I lie to People by saying it's $$ $$$ you get. hmmm...

I Think It's Time to Re Think Your Strategy If you want to make any Money Online... Sell something real that people wants, solve peoples problems. Don't sit around and wait for the next HYIP... That will never Happened...

It's Your Responsibility to Investigate, screen, due diligence Products, MLM Before You start Promoting anything. If You don't Know what You put out there... I good rule of thumb don't do it... There is enough Crap on the Internet already... Especially If You want a good reputation and You want to Stay in Business many years from now... /Stefan Berg

I am not ending my account there but I am no longer going to worry about promoting it. Seems like the best thing to do now is make sure you don't have anything out there promoting it. Check your blogs and such. They might finally be forced to do more legally to assure the base they already built of their legitimacy. I noticed they do not have any way to really get in touch with them directly on the site and that was always a red flag. If they are for real there will be an announcement, if not just chalk it up to a learning experience. Sorry to hear you did advertising, the reason I stayed was that there is no real need to invest anything :(

Great share Marisa. I too suspected it from the get go, but decided to give it a chance. What a shame though.. I had quite a bit of time spent advertising it and maybe even a few bucks lost. Not to mention the balance I had with them.
