I've noticed you can find a wide variety of Social Networking sites that pay you to socialize - ie..do things that you already do. These are just sweetening the pot with a little reward.

I'm participating in a few. Like everything there are pros/cons to everything. Feel free to contact me directly for more information.

Social networking is becoming the primary way to market and promote our Biz-Ops as I see it and when we can make money in the process of what we do on social networks, that is just "icing on the cake"!

You should never 'sell' in any social marketing arena. Just my opinion, but it's the equivalent of meeting someone in the store on the corner and force feeding them a biz op.

Nurture the relationship. Use social media to meet PEOPLE, not clients. You do that, you will have all the business you can ever handle.

At first I didn't understand social networking. I understood blogs and I participate in a few of them. But social networking was so foreign to me. Then someone sent me a link to IMfaceplate. I thought it would be a good idea to get some more exposure to my offerings and a great way to meet others.

I am glad I joined. I don't really know if it has resulted in more visits to my website though. I market my site via many venues. I don't think it has brought visits to my affiliate programs either, but I do enjoy using IMfaceplate. I have made some referrals and they seem to like it.

[CONTENT REMOVED BECAUSE IT CONTAINED REF LINKS]

I will continue to use IMfaceplate and share the link with others.

The only problem I have with socializing on the sites that pay for it, is that many people simply use copy and paste comments like "thumbs up", or "congratulations" when one gets points after having posted a certain number of times, then rinse and repeat.

Or even worse, you accept their friendship request, and they thank you by saying "get the upgrade, go for gold", when I'm already at the Gold level. I've seen that many times. It shows they didn't look at my profile at all.

And putting links in a post, when it's the first time you connect with someone else, is not a good habit. I hope that habit vanishes by 2011. Am I naive ? Probably. :)

I am a member of several social sites also. Each and everyone is different but the same.
You have to learn how to market in each one. They are for sure all different in that aspect.
You will also find that most are new to the internet and know nothing about marketing their new found business, ( I sure did not know ). So my marketing plan is to teach them how to market in each site. That is the one thing I think they have in common. Look at all the newbies you can help and they will help you and grow your downline.

I am having great success in the social sites I belong to.
P.S. I also make money in them :-)
