Belief is a major ingredient in success in business. One of the core sources beliefs people have is that of their spiritual or religious faith or their belief that neither of those things exist. Should people use their spiritual/religious beliefs to help them succeed in business?

As a follower of Jesus Christ and a known Christian Marketer, I do believe that Religeon have to play a role in your business. I believe that God is my Sole Provider and that he look after my needs. I know Him in everything that I do , think or say! I pray before I make any descissions and ask God to help me, guide me and to give me wisdom and insight.
Our Heavenly Father God, give me the Internet to be my pulpit and I use it in every way I can to win souls for Jesus. Matthew 28:19 I give 30% of all my income to my ministry and invest the other 70% to buy bibles for souls in India and Pakistan. It is not what God can do for you, but what you can do for God!! If you do believe in God, worship him everyday and HE will give what you ask! - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psalm 37:4-5 (King James Version) Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Afterall... Life is about choices, make the right choice.

I have found it best in business to follow the way of the seed sower. Show your faith and discuss it further with the willing, but respect those who choose not to believe. Never use god as a sales pitch. One of the last opportunities I would ever join is Christian Home biz which does exactly that and the owners can not convince me otherwise.
Remember, Christ roamed this earth not pulling and dragging, forcing, or threatening people into submission to god's will. He simply spread the message and let the willing follow, made his church on a rock and cast off organized religion for communion between man and God. Andy

I am undecided on the idea of using spirituality (religion) in business.I am reminded of the admonition ; "Religion and politics don't mix' and can see some similarities in regard to business.
On the pro side,when you deal with a spiritual person you have every right to expect total honesty from them. I am a little Leary of sites that try to use religion to sell, unless the product is religion, but I am not adverse to checking out a new possible business acquaintances profile for their religious views. spirituality should be a good indicator of an individuals ethics.

So interesting! I just created a new group, Law of Attraction Marketing and Resources (http://bit.ly/cq9dQx) and then I hopped over here to read the discussions and I see you are discussing spirituality and business.
I personally believe and teach that spirituality is a part of everything in our lives. I believe we are spiritual beings first, having a human experience on earth. We attract what we are thinking and feeling, whether we want it or not, so that applies in business too. We really can choose who we want to attract into our lives and into our businesses. Years ago I thought that if I could just "convince" enough people that my business was the best, then they would come and join me. Then I realized I simply needed to decide who and what type of person I wanted to attract into my business. I go OUT of the convincing business and into the attracting business. It is a lot easier to talk only to people who already want to talk to me. I will be posting what I have learned over the years and what works for my clients and me in my new group. Hope you will join me here for some great discussions. Here's the group again: Law of Attraction Marketing and Resources http://bit.ly/cq9dQx See you there! Many blessings for your prosperity and well being. Linda Miller 828-652-4714 http://LindaMillerOnline.com

a belief of a religion not a barrier to doing business. precisely religion always conducive to the success of his flock. why? because religious adherents do not ever want anyone to be poor, helpless or destitute. Whatever religion always start with ekonome, not every house of worship was built at a cost that much? Do not build houses of worship, a portion of the proceeds derived from the believers? In order to do business there must be followed, not only about economic laws, but also the religious law. Economic law based on religious teachings, will always produce a good economy. not incriminate other people, not suppress other people, also there is no fraud and treason. Business will be honest because of spiritual or religious basis.

@George on this.
Seems like some of your belief is focused around my same concerns. Are you using God as a marketing tool or are you a proud Christian professing your faith. I use God in none of my marketing tools, and only periodically will post a bible verse or reference on a business site beyond God Bless you and yours. I will mention him in our social media site on my personal profile and not preach from the admin's pulpit and like Christ and his church our business is also open to non believers and sinners. I see that failure in many churches today having forgotten the profession of Mary Magdalin and choosing only to deal with people professing pick and choose sins. Such as a church casting one out for prior divorce or crimes. We keep our business open and our minds and reach those we can through kindness, honestly, and faith. Not by closing our doors to all non believers by creating a environment that makes them feel preached to, before entering the door. Andy

Since I have a personal relationship with the Lord, I ask him for guidance in everything I do or I am involved with including business. Any rewards that I get come from him anyhow so I praise him for those and ask him for the best way to handle those rewards.

Andy. The Magdalen, Mary of Magdala has been 'cleared' by the Catholic Church of the false accusation that she was a prostitute! They dreamed that one up to back up their persecution and exclusion of women and now they've admitted that it was a deliberately corrupted translation that has misled people for hundreds of years.
What stands out in these discussions is that the writers seem to think is only Christian business people who can be described as being ethical and honest. What about Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Moslems, Buddhists or people of any other faith or culture or belief? Are all those groups to be regarded as untrustworthy? No, that's nonsense, of course not. The fact is that how you behave in business, or politics or whatever your chosen profession has nothing to do with what you SAY you believe in. It is all about what you actually DO and how you treat EVERYBODY else. I don't ask people I plan to deal with whether they go to a mosque, synagogue, church or temple or elsewhere or nowhere, and even if I know, I don't pre-judge them on that basis. Equally I do not expect to be pre-judged on the basis of my spiritual nature.
