Hey everyone ... we would love to hear your feedback on the new menu and recent additions to the site (such as the Publish and Share module).

We recognize that not everyone likes change and that there is a slight learning curve associated with any kind of change, so we would appreciate it if members would take a minute to read our latest news updates and then take a moment to poke around the site before leaving their feedback.

Also, if anyone has questions about the changes, this is a great place to ask them. This way, our reply can help others that might have the same questions.

And if there are any members that feel like sharing and helping other members out, then please jump in here and respond ... the more the merrier!

Plus, we still have a lot of things to come out in the next couple weeks, so keep an eye out for all of our updates.

We will also be posting some short walk through videos soon, so if you're a bit lost and confused, maybe the videos will help you out.

The new changes are looking great so far, but only time will tell.
I am still getting used to the new arrangement.
No doubt the new Publish and Share addition will be used more frequently.
It's a miserable rainy day here in Adelaide today so I think I'll go "Share" that and maybe somebody can tell me where the sun has gone to?
Cheers

Hello, Tyler: Thanks for starting this discussion group and for the News item that provides lots of detail about the changes: http://www.imfaceplate.com/news/new-menu-and-home-page-where-did-everything-go

I like what I see so far: the site was great to begin with, but the changes somehow give it a cleaner, more professional feel. I'm finding my way around most of it just fine, but I haven't had time yet to check out the new Publish and Share module, so I'm not sure exactly how that works. All in due time.

Thanks again! :-) GT

Question regarding the new Publish and Share feature: images

I just tried uploading and sharing two different images, but I can't see that it worked (unless they appeared on other members' faceplates).

After browsing for an image, selecting it, then clicking the share button, it takes me to a blank web page. Neither the image or the accompanying message about it shows up in the widget on my faceplate.

In the "What's This" note about images, it says: "If you already uploaded it onto your faceplate, then just select it from the dropdown." Is uploading an image a feature that is not yet available?

GT :-)

Thanks for pointing out this bug GT. I have my best people on it!

Just a quick not on the Publish and Share module ... it can be moved around on your faceplate just like other modules. When it's first enabled, it will go to the bottom of your faceplate, but can be moved all the way to the top if so desired.

Hi, Tyler: Thanks for the note.

I just tried the "Image" share again, and although it seems to work, I'm not certain it is a feature I will use.

Just to test it, I browsed my computer photos and selected an avatar pic, 80x80 in size. When I clicked to share it, it went to my Spotlights page (that's what your info said it would do), but it came out HUGE, not 80x80. Also, all it is is the photo, no explanation or anything, so I deleted it from my Spotlights.

I suppose I could edit it in Spotlights to add whatever details I want, but if I'm going to do that, I would just do it all from the Spotlights editor in the first place and do not need the "Share" feature.

One other thing: I deleted that pic from my Spotlights page, but the note is still in the module on my faceplate. Is there a way to delete that too? Other members may click it to see the pic I uploaded and will be confused when they find nothing new there.

GT :-)
