IM faceplate help | help
New here? There are 3 things you need to do

As you noticed when you signed up, we gave you instant access into IMfaceplate so that you could get started right away without having to wait for a confirmation email (which can take a while with some mail servers).
Now that the dust has settled, we wanted to make sure that you were doing these 3 simple tasks before you forget. These are critical in getting going with IMfaceplate and they take just a couple minutes.
- Make sure you go to your email inbox and find the confirmation email we sent you. Inside that email is a link that you MUST click to confirm your account with us. If you don't click this link within 48 hours of signing up, then your account (and faceplate) will be deactivated until such time as you click that link to activate. It only takes a second, so make sure you don't forget.
- Spend a couple minutes and make sure you put SOMETHING on your faceplate. You don't have to get fancy right away, just get something on there. A good starting point is to upload your photo and add a screen name if you like (this is a great place to use your REAL name). Remember, social marketing is all about YOU and you need to be branding YOU. This is really what IMfaceplate is all about!
Another easy thing to add to your faceplate is your twitter account. We will then populate your latest tweets directly on your faceplate. If you have a youtube account, then add that and we will fetch your videos and put them on your faceplate as well. You can quickly get some good content on your faceplate with just a couple field entries ... it really is a snap! - Now that you have your faceplate online, tell your friends and business contacts about it. You can use our ultra simple tool to import your subscribers from nearly every popular email service (there are literally tons that we support), and when you use out tool it will send a pre-written email to them that tells them about IMfaceplate and even gives them a link to YOUR faceplate so they can check it out. If after looking at your faceplate, they decide to create their own faceplate, then they will become one of your referrals. It's as easy as that!
Remember, you can also spread the word about IMfaceplate by tweeting to your followers, putting a link to your faceplate in your signature (at forums for instance), and so on and so on.
Now that you have completed these 3 simple steps, you can get into IMfaceplate and start checking out all the great people in here. IMfaceplate is a goldmine of like-minded marketers and the information contained within this site is beyond what you will find in any other single resource. It really is the ultimate site for the internet marketer as well as anybody that just wants to share, contribute and get involved online.

Aug 29th 2010 at 9:23 PM by VTMadePro Like the initial post says, once you get something on your faceplate, look around at other people's faceplates. If you like you what you see, follow them. Chances are they will follow you, too, which gives you more visibility (and facepoints).
The other thing is to leave thoughtful comments about people's articles, and responses to people's comments about your articles.
