My Little Miracle

I want to tell you about what really happened on Easter Sunday 2006. My husband, daughter and I went to Maggie Valley for about 5 days for her spring vacation and that Easter morning went to a buffet breakfast and forgot my cell phone in the car. I did not know it but when I got back in the car there it was in the floor where it fell off the seat. I then noticed several voicemails where from my son and was frantic. I listened to all his messages and come to find out that our apartment building was on fire and was burning up so we drove and drove till we came back and looked at the building sure enough it was almost a total loss.

We had to wait I think a couple of days for us to go inside of our apartment because they had everything all fenced off to where no one could go in at all. We contacted the office and told them we wanted to go inside to see what the damage was. I really looked at everything before we actually went in our door. I noticed that the door across the hall from us that the fire was so hot that the metal on the door was bent but noticed our door was not.

We finally entered the apartment and it was just as we left it. We looked in every room and low and behold there was no water or fire damage whatsoever, so you see this why I have always called this "My Little Miracle". Although we did not have a home for six months all our possessions were ok and till this day I always say that there are really and truly Angels that watch us all the time and keep us safe and will believe that till I die.
