There are too many worthless emails filling my mailboxes.
Firefox has messed up my primary gmail account with Google's calendar. I have to use Safari to read it now.
It's brought my attention to the small number of emails I get there that I click through to read their links and the even smaller number of ads that I follow-up on. That leads me to believe that I need to delete some deadwood and unsubscribe from the ones that just pitch, pitch, pitch and never provide payoffs in content. I'm going to go through them to unsubscribe from those lists.
If you're suffering from the same problem, you should do the same. Reading worthless emails just steals your time and makes you less productive. (i) you're ticked off (ii) you're not in ready to accomplish anything for at least a short time- maybe longer.
The next time you're aware that these missives are stealing your time, schedule a time to go through your current emails and delete the offenders. If that helps you to recover your time again, buy me a beer sometime.

Aug 7th 2010 at 6:14 AM by fredds Too many emails! Its a predicament that many online marketers can identify with. Due the nature of marketing on the net, its almost a given that most marketers try to get as many leads from as many sources as possible. This sadly may end up revealing their email addresses which would then be used by some, for example, spammers to send numerous emails to their inboxes. I encountered this problem in my earlier days marketing on the net and after making mistakes here and there, experience has taught me to become more careful about who I reveal my email address to. And for those worthless emails that still manage to get through, I usually schedule some time every month to got thru my inbox and unsubscribing from those that that I do not need.

Aug 4th 2010 at 8:07 PM by onqglobal First, for the Bad News...
Your touches on the effects of the Gargantuan Time Bomb called public e-mail. It's totally unsecure. No e-mail is private, that means no e-mail network and provider that would attempt to 'Claim' that their e-mail service is either private, secure or may protected and free of spam and intruders.
To put it truthfully but honestly Just not trustworthy, Period!
Now, for some Real Good News...
A new strictly dedicated private secure mail network is on-line and available. Totally free of spam and intruders. However, none of those above are the Best feature.
That's solely because the 'Best-Interest' feature is so Obviously Overlooked as it's Right under our noses... O.K., that feature is RSVP [Invitation Only]! You know, still this service's proprietary controlled mail service nework cannot be overridden. Unlike, say most RSVP parties or weddings that have been in the past easily compromised or crashed.
I personally use a version of this private and secure dedicated separated network.
For everyone else, please stay tuned _ courtesy of onqglobal
