What Are You Doing To Brand Yourself?

The most important thing you need to do to succeed is BRAND YOURSELF.  You will hear this advice over & over again.  So, what are you doing to Brand Yourself?  I think it is important for me to point out a little bit about branding.  Once someone gets a first impression of you, it is hard to change that impression.  Be sure to put yourself out there in a way you want to be remembered.

Recently I was developing a new campaign.  I wanted to be sure to STAND OUT and be remembered while, at the same time, building my marketing credibility.  I had been speaking with a well know marketer Jerry Iannucci via email.  I finished my capture page and sent it to Jerry for him to take a look.  I wanted to make sure I didn't look too silly. This campaign includes my usual picture, only this time with a crown on my head.  Just a little tweak but enough to draw some attention.  I was a little surprised by Jerry's response.  My question was Is it too silly? His response was, Maybe not silly enough.  While I thought I was putting myself out there in a way to be remembered, Jerry's response reminded me there are thousands of people marketing trying to do the same thing. You will need to take a STAND OUT Approach to get the job done.
