how to have beautiful teethHaving healthy teeth is essential for good oral hygiene and overall health. Of course, many of us also take care of our teeth because we know this is how to have beautiful teeth. While it should obviously not be the only reason you brush and floss your teeth, it is a nice added bonus which can help with self-confidence.

If you want tips and advice on how to have beautiful teeth, then keep on reading:

1. Brush properly

This seems obvious, but you would be surprised as to how many people don’t brush their teeth properly! You should do circular motions and brush your teeth both at the front and the side to prevent plaque hardening and tooth decay.

2. Don’t go to bed before brushing your teeth

Brushing your teeth before going to bed is a great way to prevent plaque building due to germs and food residue. Neglecting this step could cause tooth decay and cavities, so it’s very important that you don’t forget.

3. Don’t neglect your tongue

Plaque build-up can also occur on your tongue. This can lead to halitosis and can also engender a plethora of other oral health issues. To clean your tongue, simply brush your tongue gently every time you brush your teeth.

4. Use mouthwash

Mouthwash is a great ally when it comes to your fight against harmful bacteria and germs. Mouthwash will work by reducing the amount of acid in the mouth, remineralising the teeth, and cleaning hard to reach areas in and around the gums.

5. See your dentist at least every 6 months

While having a good oral hygiene is crucial for beautiful teeth, you still need to have a bi-annual checkup with your dentist, who will make sure that your teeth and gums are still healthy.
