1. NUBRA VALLEY

This masterpiece of God’s own creation lies on the Silk course, in the paradisiacal of Jammu and Kashmir in a distance of about 140 Km from Leh. The valley is adorned with Shyok and Nubra river snaking through it and some beautiful monasteries colored with rich colors of gold, red and many others.

2. SAMSTANLING MONASTERY

Sumlur village and was founded by Lama Tsultim Nima, 140 years back. The monastery houses 50 monks and this will be the principal monastery of the area.

On the road and about the monastery the landscape is enchanted with the yellow-red trees, vibrant and colorful prayer flags, berry trees, golden-grey mountains reaching out to cuddle the pristine blue skyline.

The monastery has two meetings, both of which have spectacular murals and paintings of Buddha, Dharma chakra, the four heavenly kings, guardians and tons of other aspects of Buddhism. The guest house from the monastery is the resident of this seven-year-old incarnation of Lama Bakula Rinpoche, who’s a fantastic visionary.

3. PANAMIK VILLAGE, NUBRA VALLEY

Situated at a distance of approximately 140 Km from Leh, the capital of Ladakh and at the height of 3183 meters over sea level would be the northernmost part in which the foreigners are allowed.

The road further leads to Siachen base camp, the maximum battlefield in the world. Panamik is determined by the bank of Nubra river and is well known for its hot water spring, Pashmina goats as well as the bactarian camels that have two humps and were a fantastic way to transverse in the silk route.
