Pawtucket is a beautiful city in Providence County, Rhode Island. Home to approximately 73,000 people living within nine square miles of land, it is the fourth largest city in the state. Pawtucket is known in history as the birthplace of the Slater Mill which kicked off the American Industrial Revolution in 1793. This industrial city has, in recent years, strived to open its doors to culture and the arts. The efforts have paid off and Pawtucket is now a budding center for culture and the performing arts in the region. The city’s friendly atmosphere, recreational opportunities and interesting attractions lure visitors from nearby cities and states every year.

There is much to see and explore in Pawtucket. The Slater Memorial Park is a well-visited attraction that holds year-round events that are worth seeing like Pumpkins in the Park, the Haunted Tunnel, Winter Wonderland and the Pawtucket Arts Festival. The park also contains picnic areas, open fields for sports, and the oldest house in the city, the Daggett House.
