Having worked in sales and marketing for most of my life, I have never experienced the joy I do now in the merchant processing field. If you need credit card processing equipment online or offline, contact me. My company runs specials all the time.

Because I love helping people obtain their goals and become successful, my approach to any prospective business owner is whether I can save them money and increase their profits. If I can do that, then I\'ve done my job.

One of my passions is blogging about social media marketing for businesses, particularly small businesses. I provide advice and best practices to help businesses understand the quagmire that exists on Facebook, YouTube and other social network marketing opportunities.

In my spare time I take stunning photos, and have been published by: CNN News, KMOV-TV (St. Louis, MO.),Discovery Channel The Storm Chasers, St Louis Bureau of Tourism Online Travel Brochure (2009).

The Beginning of a Love Affair...

Dec 1st 2010 at 7:26 PM

TeasastipsThere are times when I get bored with Facebook and Twitter.  I keep trying to find that new emotion, that new cerebral thought that will revitalize my social networking experience.  But, as they say, it wasn't happening.  I was so bored with them, that I was seriously considering taking some time off and seeking out other landscapes.

Then along came IM Faceplate.

Initially, I thought it was just another social network that wanted to sap my time and energy.  But I was wrong.  Let me tell you what changed my mind:

I signed up to Google Alerts, and each time my name "teasastips" is searched for, I receive an alert from Google.  This is good because as narcissistic as I can be, I like seeing my name in print; I also like knowing that people are looking for me.  But what is really cool, is that Google Alerts also tells where people who were searching for me found me.

Well, when I received a Google Alert this past Monday night, the night I joined IM Faceplate, I realized that "teasastips" was found because of IM Faceplate.

Instantly, I got excited all over again about social networking.  Because this is just what social networking is supposed to do.  It is supposed to separate the malarkey from the real deal, and allow the cream to rise to the top.  I find that difficult to do with Facebook and Twitter,  the playing field is too crowded.

Not to say that you still can't create some social marketing depth with the two platforms, it's just that it will take more time, and it effort to rise to the top.

So, here's to the beginning of a love affair, me and IM Faceplate.
