How to improve your presence on the internet by using Social Media Exchange sites
A few months ago I ran across my first Social Media Exchange site and decided to join just to see what it was all about. I discovered that I can improve my web presence and in some cases my SEO a lot quicker with Social Media Exchange sites rather than Traffic Exchange sites and some of the other web tools that are out there.
After doing a bit of research I've discovered that some of the Social Media Exchange sites have been around for awhile, but most people are so busy with the Traffic Exchanges or the Banner Exchanges or other web tools and they aren't familiar with this type of exchange. I have found that the Traffic Exchanges and Banner Exchanges are a waste of time in most cases.
Let me explain how the Social Media Exchanges work. At those sites you get the other members to like, plus one, follow, share, pin, tweet and retweet your information and you do the same to earn points (also call coins at some of the sites), so you can display YOUR information to the members. The majority of the exchanges have the top social media locations such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Plus, Youtube, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, Digg and you can have website locations such as your referral link or your personal website. Some of them even allow banner links.
As far as SEO goes, the main site that I know of that is also has a social media network which monitors the links and other activities for SEO purposes is Google Plus. Everything that you post and all of your "public" posts that are shared by others affects your SEO status. Besides that, Google Plus has more to offer than some of the other top social media networks. Take a look at the comparison for Google Plus, Facebook and Twitter. Some of the comparisons have changed recently for the sites, but I think you will get the idea of what Google Plus has to offer!
Have you ever tried to search for your name or one of your affiliate programs that you are in while logged into Google? The results are completely different from the ones that display on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) when you aren't logged in! Why? Because Google is tracking all of your "public" information for their search engine.
If you are tired of asking for likes, retweets, etcetera, try visiting my Symbaloo board and join a few of the Social Media Exchange sites then give it a try. The board is color coded with the fushia and orange displaying as my favorites. The white ones across the top are next. The ones in grey are my social media locations. The ones in blue won't work for you unless you are a Symbaloo member too!
On my faceplate on the 'Spotlights' tab you will find two training videos that will show you two different platform designs for using Social Media Exchanges.
