I've been away for a year and have some difficulty moving around IMfaceplate. Yikes !!

Check Out My Stats !

Dec 3rd 2010 at 9:45 AM

The only way to find out whether a safelist program is worth your time or your money is to spend the time checking it out.  That's exactly what I did with by comparing it with several safelist programs out there and the results are pretty shocking.

I wanted to do a little experiment by comparing with other viral list builders and safelist programs.  My goal was simple enough, I wanted to know how many clicks will I received from each site and compare them with other similar sites.  I used TE Toolbox to track my results.

Here are my results:  Ads were sent on December 1, 2010 -  189 hits - 95% unique hits ( message was sent to 3,500 members) -  12 hits - 100 % unique ( message was sent to over 10,000 members) - 21 hits - 95 % unique (message was sent to over 10,000 members) -  8 hits - 88 % unique (message was sent to over 6,000 members) - 9 hits - 78 % ( message was sent to over 2,700 members)

Power Profit List  -  22 hits - 100 % unique ( sent to 700 members) - stats were obtained 3 days after the email ad was sent.

Quality Safelist  -  36 hits - 100 % unique (sent to 3381 members) - stats were obtained 7 days after the email ad was sent.

I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the stats for and with over 10,000 members each and only getting a combined hits of 33, it's not even close !

When I checked the numbers inside the back office of and compare them to the stats from TE Toolbox, they are bang on, the numbers matched up.

Ok so you maybe wondering just like me, why such a low number of clicks on my email ad at with over 10,000 members?  In my opinion, it's how they were giving out those massive amount of credits during the beginning of their campaign and that's how I think their membership ballooned to five figures.  Members were just using up those credits but not bothering to opening up any incoming email ads.  Once those credits are gone, that's it, they don't bother going back to the site at all.

Now, I have to seriously reconsider cancelling my monthly membership at LBM and spend it somewhere else, where my advertising dollars can go a little further.

I will continue to test out other safelist and listbuilder programs and post my results here and I will keep you posted.

Till next time.

Thank you Fredds and Blackfolder1 for stopping by and commenting on the article. I thought I was the only one who feels funny about those stats especially with LBM. That's basically the drawback for giving away so many credits and the price you pay as an owner when those members don't comeback to read the ads or click on the clicklinks. I mean what's stopping someone for closing their account and sigining up again at a later time and claiming the codes for getting those massive credits. There have been other viral list builders that came after LBM and tried to use the same tactic of giving away tons of credits to pad their membership numbers and could end up having the same faith of getting too many members fast but no activity. Thanks again for stopping by. Paul

Interesting comments about List building Maximizer. They have far too many giveaways of large chunks of credits to lure new members, many who just jump in to use the 5000 of 10,000 credits.

That is most interesting! In traffic exchanges, I have similar results with Thumbvu.
