Conclusion: Keep The Good, dare necessary improvements - that should be objective in developing each new camera model. Sorry - you must say so clearly - Panasonic has been at the G3 only half-heartedly Nikon COOLPIX L26 looks to this objective and daring, especially on necessary improvements. Thus, the image quality in comparison to the predecessor makes a significant leap forward.

Despite the increased sensor resolution Panasonic got the noise problem with the G3 so well under control that they can be used without remorse to ISO 1600. Even with its video capabilities, the G3 is the amount of time filming with the camera can see (and hear) let. In return, unfortunately, a lot of good in the predecessor, the G3 has fallen by the wayside. By eliminating most dedicated switches and knobs and especially the eye sensor suffers the ergonomics of the camera, although it is easy to operate thanks to the formidable touchscreens still quite simple and fast.

The display can be swiveled in almost every situation and turn, but its resolution is at best average. The streamlined body of the G3 brings no significant benefits in the transport, but is nowhere near as good in the hand as the G2, with its strong grip. Despite improvement in the continuous shooting speed is still low. The bottom line is that a good system G3 camera, which reach their full potential with the kit lens but can not develop completely. Even better, the G3 would be advised to have it not in comparison to the Panasonic predecessor Sun neutered much.
