Creating A Holiday Website Design
Even though Christmas is over, it's not too late to add a bit of holiday flair to your website. Today, I'm going to go over a few tips for using a holiday website design on your site.
Christmas Holiday Website Design Tips
Tip #1: Focus On Christmas Colours
Colours commonly associated with Christmas are red and green, although you can add white in there to represent snow if you wish. Something to keep in mind that most others forget is that different regions may use different colours, so depending on your target audience, you can make your website seem even more festive if you keep this in mind.
Tip #2: Use Effects On Your Site
There are many codes out there where you can add a variety of snowflake effects to your website. In fact, this is an effect I once added to my SEO blog "Sycosure" for the holiday season in 2013. Most webmasters these days would consider this tacky, which is one reason I no longer do this, although it's up to you to decide whether or not you want to do this.
Tip #3: Orangise Your Text To Look Like A Christmas Tree
This is a fun little trick I've seen some webmasters do and it's definitely one of my favourte holiday website designs. What they do is carefully tailor the text in their articles written around the holidays to make it look a bit lke a Christmas tree.
Even if you think it's too late to add a Christmas design to your site, you can always keep this information in mind for next year.
