The center of Iran is divided into two basins with occasional salt lakes. North Dasht-e Kavir (Great Salt Desert) and south Dasht-e-Lut.
There is also a fault line along the Red Sea rift in areas that create structural basins with areas below the level of mar.17 The Dead Sea, located on the border between the West Bank, Israel and Jordan, is at 418 meters below sea level, making it the lowest point on Earth's surface.
Major aquifers provide water to large parts of the Middle East. In Saudi Arabia, two of the Palaeozoic and Triassic, whose origins are located beneath the Jabal Tuwayq mountains and the sea area west Rojo.19 Mantos Cretaceous and Eocene are located under large areas of central and eastern Saudi Arabia including Wasia and Biyadh who have large amounts of both saltwater and dulce.19
The Sandstone Aquifer in Nubia, located east of the Sahara consists of a network of underground lines covering large areas of North Africa North Africa.19 The Man-Made River project in Libya utilizes an extensive network of pipelines that transport water from the aquifer to population centers.
