Make a statement with Manyavar ethnic wear

Dec 8th 2015 at 10:08 PM

After a long time comes an advertisement that depicts the beauty of Indian ethnic wear even at international domain. India has always been the land of exquisite cotton, and it was the imperialistic trade policies that made Indian cotton reach foreign shores. Hence, the inherent beauty of our craftsmanship and the internal quality of our products have been maintained quite well.

In present times, though Indians prefer the ‘suit boot' affair, given the ornate getup of an Indian wear, yet when in foreign land, there can be no better alternative to an Indian wear! In this advertisement, we find a concerned mother standing in an ethnic clothes shop tries to coax her son into wearing western clothes for a convocation ceremony at the prestigious Oxford University.

She firmly believes that her son's choice of ethnic wear would not go down well with foreigners choice of ‘suit boot'. After all, it is the convocation ceremony of her other son at the Oxford University! Emphasizing on "jaisa desh waisa bhesh", she almost coaxes her into believing that in spite of being an Indian, they should go about following the foreign culture.

Following the mother's words, the son comes out dressed in ethnic wear exuding the Indianness by means of his clothes. This is when the mother is surprised by seeing her son as a complete Indian man, who, rather than wearing 'suit boot' and being one of them, wears Kurta and Nehru jacket to portray his pride as an Indian.
Finally, the mother relents, with her son portraying to the audience that a person's with his clothes makes a statement! Clearly an Indian makes a mark at every shore he visits.

It is quite noteworthy, how the colonial aspect of our mind has not yet left us. This is primarily the reason, why we Indians still feel the need to make us presentable to our European counterpart in their terms. Also, this is the primary reason why probably we still tend to make sure that their sensibilities are met rather than our own pride.

To bring a change to this domain Manyavar has brought its range of menswear, that depicts the pride of an Indian by portraying his culture and traditions by means of their clothes.

Manyavar is a men's ethnic wear brand that is making waves in the Indian market. Firmly asserting their motto of bringing back the Indian quotient in their buyers, they are a class apart.

Their clothes depict the opulent yet sublime Indian ethnic wear that is beyond the strict attire of ‘suit boot'. With their huge range of Sherwanis, Nehru Jackets, Kurta Pyajamas, and other indo western wear for men, they have made a ground for themselves in a very short span of time.

Coming under the wing of Vedant fashions, founded by Ravi Modi, they have been creating garments that make an Indian man complete and proud of his roots.

Nominated and awardee of a numerous fashion awards, it has 2 of its biggest outlets at Kolkata and Mumbai, apart from sponsoring of a number of occasions.
