Lego 4842 - A Review

Dec 16th 2010 at 12:37 PM

When it comes to keeping children enthralled for hours, LEGO is always one of my top choices. Putting the pieces together and letting the imagination flow is what kids love best and LEGO 4842 does exactly that.

Your kids are surely familiar, if not crazy about Harry Potter. This set includes the amazing amount of 1290 pieces! This includes the characters of Harry Potter himself, Hermione Grange, the infamous Lord Voldemort, Albus Dumbledore, Professors Snape, McGonagall, Flitwick and more.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the story of Harry Potter, this set depicts the scene where Hogwarts Castle is surrounded by the ever scary Dementors and the evil Lord Voldemort is with them! Harry Potter and Professor Dumbledore are going to finally engage battle with He Who Must Not Be Named. In the castle, Professor McGonagall and Flitwick are attempting to keep things in order.

In the past, LEGO has put out a number of versions of the Hogswarts Castle, however this version is truly the best one. You will be amazed at the incredible detail that has gone into this adventure set. There is Dumbledor's office with sliding spiral staircase, the common rooms of both Gryffindor and Slytherin. There is also the Off Limits area of the library and the Great Hall in its entire splendor.

The only downfall of this product in my opinion is that it does not come with the character of Ron. However, if you have purchased other LEGO Harry Potter products then you already have one.

Your child will be delighted to discover many hidden treasures in the castle, like Sirius Black's face in the fireplace of the Gryffindor common room, or Tom Riddle's book that is hidden in the knight's armor and much more. This toy will entertain, captivate and delight your child for hours on end.
