Everyone has heard or seen the organic products now lining up in local stores. If you haven't seen Green this or Green that than you certainly must be walking around with your eyes shut. In 2009, NON-food organic sales grew almost 10% to just under 2 BILLION dollars (Organic Trade Association's 2010 Organic Industry Survey). We are talking mostly beauty and home care products along with the various outside products like soil, lawn care, etc. NOT Food!

Want to know what the growth was for organic food sales? Try 23 billion dollars from 1990 to 2009 (OTA). Organic fruits and vegetable grew 11.4% in 2009 alone. Your everyday supermarkets, Wal-Mart's, Costco's, or the like, sold over 50% of organic food (OTA) in 2009.

Globally, organic sales reached nearly 51 BILLION in 2008, doubling the 25 BILLION in 2003 (The World of Organic Agriculture). The vast populaces, (us), have figured out that all those chemicals in our household items, beauty products, and the big one, FOOD are not that great after all. With more and more clinical reports coming out linking that plastic bottle you drink water out of to cancer, all the way to What's really in that jug of milk you like so much?; we have been thinking and buying in another direction.

So what does this tell you? Organics are not going anywhere. In fact the Organic and Green Industry is projected to be a Multi-trillion dollar industry. Try and wrap your brain around the future of what's coming.
