The Power of Gratitude

Oct 13th 2010 at 1:37 PM

Do you thank people enough? Do you thank the Universe enough? In fact, do you show continual gratitude fro the life you have?

Now, before you answer that with "well my life stinks, so I have nothing to be grateful for", start to think again. If you are walking around with that attitude and not grateful for anythoing, then yes, your life stinks and long will it continue.

If you take just a moment to stop, sit down, close your eyes and ears to all distractions around you and concentrate on just one thing you can be grateful for and jusy say thank you, guess what, you'll think of something else and then another and another...

Suddenly, you may realise that you do have stuff to be grateful for and that, in turn, will start to make you feel a little better. Maybe not much at first but keep doing it every hour or so and replace every "stinking life" thought with a postive thought andf give thanks for that, you will change your mood.

Do this 4 to 5 times daily and your life will start to change. Believe it, as it has happened to me and to many others that I know, both as colleagues and good friends.

Wallace Wattles in his book "The Science of Getting Rich" devoted his longest chapter to just this; the Bible is full of it, Buddhism, Hinduism, Muslimism in fact, all the faiths are full of it as are the modern philosophers of today.

So, just take a little time to start saying thank you; you'll be amazed to where this will lead.

Have a fantastic life.

The first thing I say in the morning when I open my eyes is, thank you for God for letting me wake up and see another day. I know where all my blessings come from and that is God.
