What is really fun is to use NLP in your business and watch it grow. Most businesses just don't know how to use NLP with customers. Like telling storys and giving advice before trying to sell your product. Become a friend first and they will welcome your help and be glad to see what you have to offer...  But most people try to sell first then try to become friends, sort of the cart before the horse senerio...

If you look into a persons eyes and watch if they are paying attention to you or bust looking for things to distract them from being spellbound on your words. This is a key to great sales, if you have their full attention you got the sale alread. Just ask for the close. But if they are wondering looking at other things in the room they are looking for a way to weasle out of your deal.

Fist appearance and first glance tell you alot about a person, if you come up to you and ask questions, they are looking for you true answer. If you have to go to them they may feel imtimidated and may walk away thinking you are too forward and pushy type salesman. People don't like to be sold, but they do like to buy from good people. They may already know the product they want and just need to ask some simple questions like price and more information about the product.

Ok now you know what to look for so try to research the type of customer and the best way to approach them. After a while it will become natural to you. There are several great books about NLP to learn more like Tony Robbins "Awaken The Giant Inside" or look on Google search under NLP or Sales Tools.
