I have a problem today

Jan 12th 2011 at 9:20 PM

Problems come and go. Unfortunately sometimes it can seem like an eternity before they finally pack bags and leave. Emotionally there are some problems that seem to never completely go away. No matter how big or small some problems can make you feel completely alone. In the moment of our turmoil it’s hard to even fathom that anyone else could be in a worse position or feel worse than you do. One of the most important things we should all do is be an encouragement to one another. I know that no matter what I write I do my best to find a way to be an encouragement of any kind to everyone. I want anyone who reads this to know “YOU CAN DO IT”. Life is tough sometimes. Life seems impossible sometimes. But you are stronger and nothing is impossible. If the Lord were to call me home tonight I want to know that I left something behind, as small as it may seem, that may help someone out and pick them up. Words of encouragement have more power than most people know. That is what I am leaving here, Encouragement. Sometimes that’s all we need from an unexpected source. In the Bible God say’s “Fear not, for I have redeemed you…I have called you by your name; you are mine. When you pass through waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you”(Isaiah43:1b-2) This is God’s promise.

This does not mean we won’t have trouble, but it does mean we won’t be alone as we go through them. “Fear Not” are the words to ponder on. Below I am leaving a prayer by Ray Comfort, author of “How to win souls and Influence people”. It was given to me years ago when I was going through some problems. I still carry it with me to this day. Any time I have a problem weighing on me; I pull this out and read it. I always feel better.

To your success and God Bless, Bradley G aka Oposit

“Father… I have a problem. It is weighing heavy on me. It’s all I can think about Night and Day. Before I bring it to you in prayer, I suppose I should pray for those who are less fortunate than me – Those who do not have enough to eat, Those who have no roof over their heads at night. I also pray for those who have lost loved ones to sudden death, for parents whose children have leukemia, for the many people who are dying from brain tumors, for the hundreds of thousands who are laid waste with other terrible cancers, for people whose bodies have been shattered in car wrecks, for those lying in hospitals with agonizing burns over their bodies. I pray for those with emphysema, whose yes fill with terror as they struggle to breathe, for those who are tormented by irrational fears, for the elderly who are wracked with the pains of aging. I pray for those who are watching their loved ones fade away before their eyes through the grief of Alzheimer’s disease, For the many thousands who are suffering from AIDS, for those who are in such despair they are about to commit suicide, for the people who are tormented by the demons of alcoholism and drug addiction. I pray for the children who have been abandoned by their parents, for those who are sexually abused, for wives beaten and abused by cruel and drunken husbands, for people whose minds have been destroyed by mental disorders, for those who have lost everything in floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes. I pray for the blind who have never seen the faces of their loved ones or the beauty of a sunrise, For those whose bodies are horribly deformed by painful arthritis, for the many whose lives will be taken from them today by murderers, for those wasting away on their death-beds in Hospitals. Most of all Father, I cry out for the millions who make the fatal error of thinking you won’t punish murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, fornicators, and blasphemers… for those who don’t know you consider lust to be adultery, and hatred to be murder. I pray for those who refuse to repent and trust in Jesus Christ; the one who took our punishment and rose from the dead; for those who will be swept into Hell by the cold hand of death and find to their utter horror the unspeakable vengeance of eternal fire. May they repent, obey your word and come to know you whom to know is life eternal. O God I pray for them. Strange. I can’t seem to remember what my problem was. In Jesus name I pray Amen
