How to implement Positve Thinking
You wouldn't believe the power of the mind! It is an incredible force, one which influences each and every one of us everyday, all the time!
The thoughts that fill your head not only effect the way you feel, but also the way that people perceive you. If you think you look like a million dollars and that you have lots to offer people, when you walk into a room, a party, a meeting - people will know that you are a force to recon with. However, if you fill your mind with negative thoughts, then you are more than likely going to blend into the crowd or worse.
The power of your thoughts effect the way you project yourself, the manner in which people will perceive you, your appearance as well as the people around you. Positive thinking has a ripple effect. It makes the people around you feel good they are energized and want to spend time with you.
Negative thinking as you can imagine has the opposite effect. Not only do you feel awful, but your attitude whether intentional or not can ruin the party. For this reason, people tend to steer clear of negative people. Positive thinking people are like magnets, people are drawn towards them.
There are of course other benefits to a positive attitude besides being a people magnet. Studies have shown that people who engage in positive thinking are healthier, are able to handle stress and problems better and naturally have more friends than their negative thinking counterparts.
Having a positive attitude means having a good, healthy self image. There is much truth in the saying "You need to love yourself before you can love others". If you love yourself, are confident and self assured, others will pick up on your vibes and in turn will begin to feel the same.
In today's crazy world it's not the easiest thing to keep a positive mind. The news is full of tragic stories and we are surrounded by negative energies. We are stressed financially, work, relationships. How do you relate to your children? There is a frightening study that reveals that for every 14 things a parent says to his child only one is positive!
In order to have a healthier perspective on life you need to change your thoughts and your surroundings to that of a more positive nature. For one, stop listening to the news. Trust me, if you need to know something you will. Bad news travels fast!
Fill your day with positive stimuli, a good book, humor, children etc
Naturally you cannot be cheerful and upbeat all the time. That's impossible, however if you master the ability to think positively then even in your darkest hour, you will try to find something positive to focus on. There is definitely a time and a place to be upset, disappointed, discouraged, angry etc. But to dwell on these feelings and thoughts for too long will cause you to be a negative person and as said above will result in people not wanting to be around you.
