Graditude List

Jan 10th 2011 at 5:54 PM

Would you like to create happiness and success in your life today? Right now, in this moment, without spending a dime to do it? You will not believe how simple it is. I have been practicing it daily and reaping the rewards. I am happier today than I have ever been and I am giggling to myself at how simple this is. I want to share it with you. With just one simple word, you can transform your life. The word is GRADITUDE. I’m sure you have read or watched movies about the power of graditude, but have you started practicing it? Adopting an attitude of graditude into your daily life is the easiest way to find happiness and success. The beauty is, by doing this you will attract other like-minded people into your life and you will be transformed.

You can start right now. You don’t even have to read any further after you make a decision to be grateful for everything in your life. Just pick one thing and say to yourself: “Today I am grateful for (fill in the blank).” That’s it! If this sounds corney to you, I don’t blame you. But believe me, if you try it, it can work for you. Here is a glimpse into my graditude list:

Today I am grateful for:

  1. my family is healthy
  2. my dog Max, who is still here after being told in 8/2010 that she would not survive
  3. the ability to help others in my massage therapy practice
  4. my wonderful and supportive husband
  5. being able to share with others

Now, that was a very brief list, in no specific order, and I did not elaborate. I could go on and on. Once you get started, and get on a roll, the ideas of graditude will fill your mind. This morning as I was brushing my teeth, I went over a list in my head and I actually started laughing because everything felt so good. Several hours into my day, I am still feeling happy, motivated and best of all, grateful. I once heard someone say, “If you are depressed, you are not grateful”. Now, don’t take that the wrong way. If someone is reading this who is clinically depressed, or knows someone who is, I don’t think it is quite that cut and dry. However, even the most depressed person can begin to heal by starting a graditude list. If you are feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders, take a look at what you can be grateful for. You may begin to feel your worries melting away. Your thoughts will change and your life will improve. There are many books, movies, articles, etc. on this subject, but the bottom line is: ANYONE CAN FIND GRADITUDE and with graditude comes happiness.

If you are struggling in your home based business, or in any other aspect of your life, give graditude a try. I dare you. See how things can change, and then pass it on. Practice saying thank you and smiling to anyone who crosses your path. It feels so good. So, THANK YOU for reading my thoughts for today. I wish you abundance and happiness!

That's also my way of living, since I discovered the LOA and I tried to practice it in march 2010, and I definitely have more success with it than ever before. Just open your eyes, follow your intuition and see wonderful things happen in your life - and be grateful for it every day. Thanks Amy, for this great article full of love and peace. All the best - Andre

Cool article, very true in content. We need to focus on being grateful for what we have and not get so upset about what we don't have.

Amy I like your Gratitude article. Believe it or not I use Gratitude every day. after my bath in the morning I say some of my Gratitudes phrases. One of them is this:"Today is a beautiful day and I will have only Success", or "I will be healthy and happy entire day" or "I will have the power to do all my task today and every day" and many others. You are very right, the Gratitude is working well, is just the positive attitude toward ones life. Wishing you Prosperous New Year! God Bless!

Great article. If we learn to be grateful for what we have, it helps us cope with what we do not.
