Fractional Silver Rounds: An Economic Hedge for the Frugal

Aug 6th 2010 at 9:48 PM

In a prior article I talked about the hard facts of fiat paper currencies and suggested a remedy of acquiring assets like precious metals bullion, rounds (and even mining stocks). Surfing on the traffic exchange circuit, I've seen at least a half-dozen gold/silver bullion opportunities, several of which I have bookmarked. Gold would be pleasant to have and silver is far more affordable, yet even at $20-25 per troy oz. coin, for some of us (me!) the cost of purchasing silver at just a few at a time still takes a bite out of the budget.

I've fixed this problem by looking into fractional silver rounds.

Fractional troy oz silver rounds come in weights of 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz, all at .999 percent purity. They are exactly the same as the full ounce bullion only much more economical (and perhaps even more practical). They can be purchased online in any arrangement of quantities that you desire and shipped conveniently to your door. Now even the most modest bank account (mine!) can afford to purchase solid assets with good liquidity.
