DIG OUT YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA!

Aug 26th 2010 at 1:38 AM

This is an article for anyone needing a way to find relaxation in this fast paced world we live in.  Most people have an outlet to unwind and get into a state of peace, but if you are someone still looking for a way to discover peace in your life, I have a suggestion, DIG OUT YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA.

For years I went blindly on my way and in the process missed so much of the activities going on around me, lost in my thoughts of accomplishing daily tasks. I guess you could say I did not stop and smell the roses, I barely noticed the beauty of nature except for fleeting glances.

I discovered photography late in life, but I am in the process of making up for lost time. Today I rarely leave the house without my Digital Camera.

I am not suggesting such an extreme for you, just a gentle reminder to keep in mind if you find yourself in a state of information overload, or bogged down in lifes stressful situations which can be many, lol. We all get those moments, but if you catch yourself loosing control like I often do, lol. DIG OUT YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA.

WHAT NEXT?

  • It can be as close as your own backyard, place a few bird houses scattered around to catch your daily visitors.
  • A short drive to a neighborhood park, you will be rewarded with shots of wildlife and some amazing landscape shots
  • Try a little macro photography
  • Why not capture some cherished photos of your pet.
  • Some Candid shots of kids at play
  • Experiment with water shots

The list is endless!

THE BENEFITS!

You will be rewarded with memories that last a lifetime as well as rediscovering the beauty of Nature all around you. You may want to bring a stop watch, to remind you to get back to the task at hand, lol

I wish someone had told me about the benefits of Digital Photography, I missed some amazing shots!

Hi, Saya suka fotografi lebih dari yang saya menemukan posting Anda menarik, meskipun saya hanya amatir saya ingin belajar lebih banyak. Hi, I love photography more than I find your post interesting, although I'm just amateur I would like to learn more.

You might be interested in doing a 365 project... if you have a flickr account you would have heard of it, but basically you take a picture or a self portrait every day for a year to track your progress.

I too enjoy photographing and find myself taking shots of things/nature that sometimes are amazing. I just took some last week of a rainbow and some awesome looking storm clouds, great pics. All good relaxation suggestions.

The same idea a bit further. I carry a reasonable quality Digital Video/still camera to all the Trade shows. When I see a a product of interest, I video Interview the Vendor. No strings attached and then blog the results. Have picked up many FINE clients this way
