Communication is key
I would like to talk about communication between members and Traffic Exchange owners.
I have been told numerous times that I pay more attention to my members than anyone else they know of,including the bigger sites that have been around for years. That motivates me to excel even more to get those kinds of compliments.
I have done Customer Service jobs in the past and have learned to listen to the customers wants and needs and to act on them. I listen to my members through my Forum or through a survey. My sites are member driven and member made. Everything that I offer has been 98% member requests.
Every member is different in their wants and needs,and their surf styles and techniques and I try to match every one of them all in one place.
Get to know your members by using a forum or a survey. You will learn so much about your members that it will amaze you and they will in turn respect you and follow you at everything you do.
Send out daily emails to your members, this will increase your surfing stats and it will let them know that you are still alive and that the site is still alive. You have to let them know that you are always there.
Talk to them directly in your emails, make them see that you are talking to them, not as a whole.
Always a good thing to do is not send out your emails with any upper case sentences, they take this as yelling, and they will ignore it. Also, add in their member info, credits they have left, things that they can look at and say "wow, I need to go surf!!".
Members like to know that they are being taken care of and not just ignored, they look for site owners they can trust and respect. If you can follow this simple guideline, you to can embrace the rewards of compliments all around.
