Are You a Sponsor or A Recruiter
Most of us have never given thought to whether we are a sponsor or a recruiter or what is the difference. Therefore we never asked does it really matter and if so how does it effect us as a network marketers?
Both are very significant as to how we are seen by those we are trying to attract to us. In other words depending on which one we embrace people are either drawn to us or repelled. We are either seen as people who care about others or people who just care about the bottom line. It is important to know how you are seen by others and realize the effect that it is having on your ability to build your business. That is if you are in the people business and not the numbers business.
So are you someone who is looking at the number counter in your back office to see how many people signed up from an ad you placed to determine if is effective? If so you are more than likely a numbers man and have not reached out to the people you have attracted to you. Also if you are trying to convince people about your opportunity instead of trying to find out how you can help them and accepting that you might not be able to help them which might not have anything to do with you, then you are probably a numbers man.
However, if you are just trying to develop a good relationship with people in spite of your opportunity then more than like you are sponsor because you understand that you have more to offer than your opportunity and that relationship has the potential to develop in to something that is not depend on any opportunity and will out last the interest that someone has in an opportunity.
Being a sponsor means giving the people what they need to achieve what they are striving for and although every network marketer aim to is make an income they're real aim is changing their lives. And as a sponsor it is your responsibility to help change someone's life not recruit them into your opportunity. Remember opportunities come by the dozen so that is not unique to anyone who is or has been in this industry for a long time but what is unique is people who actually care. So if you can learn to care you'll build a business that will follow you where ever you go. And that business is people.
