PETS - Our pets are like Angels which are only with us for a short time
LULU AND FRIENDS - Hangin Out
Just when it seems everyone has let you down, is the moment you realize what a special gift you have. I have heard, "Our pets are like Angels, which are only with us for a short time." I find it so true.
I love my husband, I love my kids, but there are moments when we can feel misunderstood. But not so with our Pets, our Pets never judge.
I am finding out through a growing number of species, lol, it is not confined to just dogs. I have 2 dogs Lulu and Max ( I still refer to as puppies) andI have recently acquired a LOVE BIRD Tweety and a COCKATIEL Gilbert "Gil for short). I love to do Digital Photography and have learned while observing birds to photograph they really are more than creatures that make a pretty picture. Yes, birds do have unique personalities, lol.
TWEETY had lost his mate at the pet store, so he was offered cheap. (they're loss) and Poor Gilbert was in the want ads. (but now has a home for a lifetime)
My puppies could be termed as my shadows, it is amazing that even when there is nothing much going on, I could be sitting at my PC for hours on end, when I glance they are there looking at me, and for some reason they still find me fun, lol.
There is a price to pay for having this loving attention, and unconditional love. It happens when we least expect it through Pet Loss. Loosing our little Yorkie - Poo Angel, as well as Charlie and Cinamon (American Cocker Spaniels). I have endured this agonizing grief and still I cannot give into my husbands plee " please, Kathy, we can't go through this again."
I feel a need to fill that empty spot..
Whether it is a Dog a BIRD any other type of pet that steals our heart it is worth the pain.
This is written as a tribute to our pets.
Thankful that God has his arms open wide.

Apr 9th 2011 at 6:04 AM by daveyboy54 I think those pictures are adorable. I've been a pet fan all my life. We have a five year old cat, Salem. She's funny, adorable, and loving. She can also drive us crazy, but we wouldn't trade her for all the money in the world.
Thanks for posting.
Kindest regards,
Dave

She goes to everything she wants and barks to tell you. I think this so funny. She is now 8 years old and the greatest animal I have had yet. Love your pictures and I hope to post some pictures soon as well. Have a great day!

Jan 6th 2011 at 10:26 AM by GTBulmer Hi, Kathy: I agree that pets are a special gift that we should cherish and protect ... like our children! lol
Pet loss, for true pet lovers, is a very difficult time. When we buried our beloved cat, Muffins, after having her put down due to age-related issues, I intended to give a brief "cat eulogy" but was so overtaken by emotion that I was unable to. Thank you for sharing your photos and insight! GT :-) |

Nov 24th 2010 at 11:01 AM by peaceful My dog Gizmo and my cat Jackie The Ripper were more that just pets! :) They gave me 16 years of Love, and now they still do, but in another Way. May your pets live long and well, and the same to your Human family! :)
