Kitty Housetraining – Effective Tips For Housetraining
Sometimes, even if there is a litter box, a cat seems to find delight in doing in his business somewhere else. This undesirable behavior can be a source of frustration for many cat parents.
If you have a new kitten, the transition period may be quite disconcerting for him, causing your kitty to behave this way. Give your new pet some time to adjust while finding ways to encourage him to use the litter box.
Cats are creatures of habit and if they are allowed to eliminate just anywhere, the litter box may not serve its purpose. While some kittens already know how to use the litter box by observing their mother, some kittens need to be introduced and trained to use to litter box.
Using the same type of litter the kitten has been using in his previous home can also help in the housetraining process. You may try switching to another type later on when your kitten has fully adjusted to his new home; however it is best to stick to the usual litter to avoid any accidents or elimination problems.
