The Bronze Cutworm can also look like a moth. They feed all the way into the plant crowns and can ingest massive areas of turf.

Tiny mites can be hard to spot but can do a lot of damage. The Bermudagrass Mite is small but has a body similar to a worm. They live and feed under leaves. They tend to attack early in spring while turf is still forming. A Winter Grain Mite is bigger in size and active most on overcast days or at night. Most of their damage is done during the winter season.

There are several different types of beetles that are also dangerous for turf grass owners. The Green June Beetle is pretty big and is more prevalent in the fall. The Masked Chafer Beetle isn’t as common as other beetles by can do fall damage as well.
