Why You Should Have Your Own Opt In List

Aug 23rd 2010 at 2:30 AM

Here is my TRUE experience when I started my online business.

I used to promote products/programs' replicated sites (affiliate site) directly. I did make some sales to the programs, but then once my most favorite program shut down their system and I lost entirely my commissions and also the customers/downlines I have referred to that program.

I wish I have their name and email address so that I can keep in contact with them.

From there I started to realize how important it is to have your opt in list. We may not see the result directly as we promote free offer to capture leads so we probably don't see money straigh away. BUT in long term this business model is much more reliable.

Once I learned how to setup proper funnel I can quickly make money WHILE I am building my own lists. So it's not that hard actually..

The scheme should be like this:

TRAFFIC -> SQUEEZE PAGE -> One Time Offer -> LEADS (Autoresponder) ->  Email Follow Ups

Click HERE to see my best working funnel that you can copy.

The beauty of this proven system is that some percentage of your new sign ups will grab the one time offer (= the first offer your new sign up see AFTER sign up)

Especially if you put a really irresistible offer there, you can make a LOT of money even before you are sending ANY email!

Okay that's my list building tips for today..

Hi Soraya.. thanks for the additional tips.. its true, I will probably discuss about it later, I am using 5 DIFFERENT autoresponder services to hold my ENTIRE 70000+ Subscribers... I just cannot rely to ONLY one service when I have huge subscribers.. (too risky) so yeah download the leads regularly also a good practice!

Fantastic article Heri, hello I'm Soroya. I would like to add don't forget to backup (download) your list regularly (or have it set up so their subscription emails are sent to your inbox), regardless of whether you are paying for an autoresponder service or not.
