Why do so many affiliates fail in affiliate marketing?
Day by day more and more people are attracted to affiliate marketing and it's a possibility that you might be one of them. Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the most cost effective ways of making a living on the Internet. It's also one of the easiest means for a newbie to start a business. It's a fair deal between the merchant and his affiliate because nobody loses anything. Both profit when a sale is made.
But in order for a sale to be made the affiliate has to continuously advertise the product and services that he had signed up to promote. He has to convince buyers and customers to buy from him and not his competition which is growing by the day. Frustration starts to creep in in a very short time and now he is ready to give up and try something else.
As in the offline world, marketers have to decide that riches do not come over night. You have to have patience and persevere over all the obstacles that you face. You have to be ingenious, not re-inventing the wheel, but adopting what the gurus are doing.

At the beginning if you do not have any money to spend you can start your affliate marketing with only a connetion to the Internet. But in order to brand yourself onlineand promote your own product you'll have to get your own domain name. It should have relevancy to the keyword to the product you are promoting or at least yourname.com if you can still get it.
With your own domain you are now able to promote the products and services to prospects who come to your website. You are can collect their email addresses which you must have if you are going to continue promoting to them in the future. You should note that if you send your prospects directly to the merchants sites and they do not buy you've lost them completely. It's also possible for you to lose your commission.
Once you have your own domain you would have to get somewhere to host it. You should not choose the free or cheapest hosting company. Because your business will be online for 24/7/365 you need a company that's up for more than 99% of the time.
The third must have right away tool is an autoresponder system. This is absolutely essential. Why? In order for your visitor to buy your product he has to see it at least seven times. And this is the resource that can contact your visitors as often as you wish.
