What Gets YOUR Attention?!
Being an online marketer has almost too many advantages over traditional marketing to even want to begin to compile a list; certainly things like the ability to compress time and space to achieve quicker and better results would be among the reasons that many of us enjoy working online.
In this day and time when things move sooooo quickly, combined with our need to conserve our natural resources as much as we can, it makes more sense to do as much as we can from the comfort of our home offices ... or where ever you decide to make your internet connections. There was an article in my most recent issue of Motorcycle Cunsumer News (Volume 42, Number 4, April 2011) that shared some amazing statistics from the 2010 Urban Mobility Report by the Texas Transportation Institute (TTI). The TTI reported that the overall cost of congestion has risen from $24 billion in 1982 to 114.8 billion in 2009. And that the average commuter now spends 34 hours a year stuck in traffic. Based on average productivity equations the time the average person spends commuting translates to $1,008.63 per year in lost productivity.
Now these numbers are as of the 2009 study, so they are only growing into a bigger burden on the household budget.
So, how much of a pinch on your budget does it take to make you want to do things a little differently to make things better?
Just based on the 2009 numbers the average person could begin to change in small ways that could lead to big quality of life advantages. It IS now possible for folks to work part time and generate income that may exceed what they have been doing to get a paycheck based on 40+ hours per week. Why wouldn't you do that?
Here is a concern for you to consider, do you really hear and see the trends that are changing the world around us? I suspect that most of us are missing some of the fundamental building blocks that are being moved around and shifting to create a different foundation upon which future successes are being constructed.
By the time the masses are reoriented to these realities the online marketers can (and should) position ourselves to be carried along by these trends.
