Webmiep from Holland goes Global - part 11 - Summary
When I started I did some mlm marketing in Holland. It is so different. Especially the advertsing. Compared to Holland everything in USA is very hyped up with unrealistic statements. In Holland there is only 1 manual surf that I know, autoresponders an safelists are rarely used. So this is an whole new world for me.
There are so much oppertunities and programs one can join, so many of them sound so tempting, it is hard to choose, especialy for a newbee from antohet country (Holland).
This is what I learned; many programs advertise with al sorts of matrix stuff. You only need 3, who find free, etc and you can retire in 3 weeks. The truth is that this does not happen. Due to the many offers and competion it is already hard to find free referals. The majority of those free signs up never upgrade. There are many programs that do not have a real service or product. I do not join any of them. Even in the short time I have surfed on USA te's I saw many programs come and vanish again in thin air.
I there fore decided to join programs with a real product or service. Plus read the fine prints, plus doing some reserach before joining. When something sounds to good to be true, it usely is. (I wish I had done some research before investing in Kooday).
Online business, in my opinion, is not so different from a regular job. You need to invest time, commitment and sometimes money. You need to focus. You need to have a plan. You need to have a dailey routine to manage essential tasks.
And very important, you need connections with people who know where they are talking about, with real expertise in certain fields. Those are hard to find since on social networks many articles are prewritten content of some programs.
I was fortunate to find such people here on faceplate, on ATM and on kooiii.com. People who give respons out of their own experience; people who really make an effort to help you without presure you to join some programs. People who tell you the truth; that you can't get wealthy overnigt but that you can be succesful when you make an effort; not for a few days but every day like in a regular job. These people are like gold nuggets. You should follow them and listen what they have to say.
What you give, comes back to you, and i do not mean some free cash gift program. Do not tell crap, be honest and support your downline in any program as much as you can. Thus you will create valuable relationships and you will gain respect. Despite all technic, people buy/order/sign up primary at people, not some website or program.
You need to invest time and or money (much time if you are on a shoestring budget). You need to focus and you need priority for programs you want to promote. I think people will take you more serious if you are promoting the same programs over and over again compared to promoting a new program every week...If you have chosen a few programs advertise them again and agian. There is no such thing as becoming wealthy on autopilot. Even big welknow companies never stop advertising like Coca Cola and Mac Donalds.
The way i see MLM is: you start to make a snowball, you make the snowball bigger. Than you start rolling it up the mountain (which is hard). It will take you weeks or even months rolling your snowball to the top. Once you are there you give your snowball one final push. Once it is starting to roll down its speed will increase and there is no limit how far your snowbal will roll. If you are waiting for somebody else to roll your snowbal to the top, quit today and find a regular job.
I am still rolling my snowball. There are days my snowball wil even roll down a few inches. but I am determent to reach the top. When people who already have their snowball rolling down the hill point out obstacles or a better path, i listen.
What did I achieve sofar? By investing time in writing articles and personal branding people are starting to know me. I do that here on faceplate and on ATM and recently on Kooiii. People start to pay attention to my articles (despite my crappy English) and are more willing to sign up for something as in the beginning. I have been able to upgrade a few services from my earnings. I still have a long way to go but now i am walking on quailty sneakers instead of on bare feet so i am confident i will reach my destination.

Sep 7th 2010 at 7:04 PM by webmiep Thanks Dave (or is your surname Dave Gilbert) for your comment. I feel sorry for all the fols who lost their jobs now trying to make money online and ending up worse than before because of all the internet fraude.... Everyone makes mistakes when starting out. I made a mistake with Kooday. I removed al promotion and ads for this program as much as I could, eventhough I am in it myself. I do not want to be responsible for people joining it and loosing money when it is a scam, even when this means it will be harder to get rid of my own keywords. I do not want to earn money over the backs of other people. I just look upon it as an expensive lesson.

Sep 7th 2010 at 6:50 PM by DaveGilbert Very well put Paula and your right there is far too much hype on the internet and it clouds ones judgment, programs that offer instant or short term riches need to be avoided you don't stand a chance of collecting any of that promised wealth your just throwing your money away, if a program tells you to fire your boss RUN don't walk Run away from it as fast as you can it will bleed your wallet dry.
Look for the real opportunities ones that allow you to build a proper business (Such as Kooiii KART)not only will you feel more in control but you will have established something that can be passed onto your children and your children's children and is something you can call your business.
MLM is not really a good program to be in as it is illegal in some countries (Like Canada) and they have a habit of collapsing leaving you out of pocket.
Before you join any program be sure to research it thoroughly find out whose running it and do a couple of simple searches to establish what complaints have been made against it these are simple enough just search for the principle owners name + scam and the program name + scam this will uncover any serious claims made against either the owners or the program and could save you making a huge mistake.
