With the recent rise in the technology for gathering quality B2B leads, the telephone is often overshadowed by these recent technological marvels. More and more means to get quality business leads keep popping up (e.g. webinars, e-mail campaigns) can improve lead gathering. Even though these things can improve your lead generation campaign, the telephone is still one of the best and most vital tools to convert ordinary leads into quality B2B leads.

With the telephone, you can have a direct conversation with your leads.  E-mail and web conferences are still good ways to get leads but these might take a while and a good amount of preparation to get things working on the right track; but with the telephone, the person that you want to talk to can immediately become available for you.

With this kind of open communication, your prospect leads can ask you any question pertaining to the topic you both have. These leads might ask you about what your company does or what it manufactures, but that's OK since you are in a direct and open communication with them and you can answer their queries instantly. Also, with this kind of communication, you can manage and nurture your leads effectively and can establish better business relationships. So don't just cross out the telephone from the list yet as it may very well be the answer to your lead generation campaign.
