The Pope is Here and Getting All the Media Coverage

I'm not religious but I have found it very interesting here in England that the Pope's visit has received such media attention. We even have a channel devoted solely to it. I wonder whether it is a reaction against the spiritual dearth of our post modern, so called post Christian age. I'm sure that Richard Dawkins will be foaming at the mouth about this response!!

Good on you Pope Benedict, you are belatedly apologising for the sins of the priests and preaching a message of religious tolerance in this time of militant fundamentalism, including the fundamentalist atheists such as Professor Dawkins whose book the God Delusion is a fundamentalist and polemic atheistic tirade.

I'm not sure what is happening but the thought that people get some hope and encouragement from his visit is a welcome outcome.
